The MTV Online, Open, Ongoing Music Awards, also known as the OMAs, are one of the major annual awards established by MTV to honor the art, creativity, personality and technology of music into the digital space. It uses a "spinoff" of the VMAs, but using online features, such as Twitter, YouTube, and the such, as the nominees.[1][2] The first show ran on April 28, 2011, with Lady Gaga taking top honors with Most Innovative Artist and Must Follow Artist on Twitter.[3] Other winners at the 2011 O Music Awards included 30 Seconds to Mars, Kanye West, Daryl Hall, Tokio Hotel and Pink.
